After working non-stop this past year, I was able to get a nice break from reality by taking a trip to Vegas, one of my favorite places. Chris and I ended up flying with Delta for a ridiculously low price … $180 / person to be exact. The secret is buying one-way airline tickets at two separate times and watching prices daily on the travel websites. One of the things I enjoyed most about the Delta flight was the FREE movie, TV, and music selection – it makes the time go by so much faster, and nothing is better than free. Not to mention the snacks were bomb, KIND bars – are you kidding me? Super boujie.
Chris and I went to a few shows including seeing J-LO perform at Planet Hollywood (AH-MAZING!!). 48th and Crepes located inside New York, New York Casino gets my vote for best restaurant if you’re looking for a delicious quick bite.
Yet again, this year has flown by, but I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel as my time in grad school is coming to a close. Last week I started my last semester – YAY! I cannot be more excited to see where this journey called life takes me and I’m sure there will be exciting new changes happening sooner than later with my professional career.
A lot of changes have already recently place at work and I’m now managing a team across multiple locations. Having a virtual team is going to be rewarding in that I get the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people from all over the country. What I love most about my job is that I’m always able to expect something new and innovative.
This last semester is going to be intense between work and school, but I’m ready for it and look forward to a great end to my year.
Until next time,
