5 Reasons you should visit Vegas at least once

I’ve had a lot of people ask me so here it is.. 5 reasons you should visit Vegas at least once in your adult life.

1. It’s completely affordable

When most people think about going to Vegas, a major setback is the cost. You would think it’s super expensive. Wrong. Coming from a chick that LOVES to travel, trust me on this. Vegas is one of the cheaper vacation options. The flight is most of what you’re paying for. You can find rooms as low as $30 / night. Just be aware that all resorts have resort fees, which adds like somewhere in the ballpark of $20-30 extra / night. Even with the resort fee you can’t beat $60 / night to stay in a resort with all the amenities it includes.

Here is a snapshot from Priceline.com on the second week of September 2016:

When you get to the resort, ask for a room upgrade. Most of the time it’s free (keep in mind you would want to tip around $20 if you get an upgrade). The first time Chris and I went, this was the room we got upgraded to from the standard room for FREE. I just told the front desk guy it was my birthday.

2. You can visit multiple places from all over the world all in one place.

In what city can you visit Italy, Paris, Egypt, and NYC in one day?… Vegas.

Caesar’s Palace

3. There is a ton of free stuff to do.

If you don’t have a ton of money to spend, you can still find something to do.

The Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is one of my favorite free things in Vegas. The Botanical Gardens are changed each season by designers who transform a 14,000-square-foot space into a floral masterpiece.

Vegas.com shows some additional free things to do in Vegas. There are way too many to list in this post.

4. The food is pretty awesome.

Vegas is known for its phenomenal restaurants that showcase several world-renowned chef’s.

Here are a few of some really sweet places that we tried:

Serendipity:

Known for its frozen hot chocolate, this place will definitely hit your sweet tooth.

Hash Hash a Go Go:

If you’re looking for something outside the box, this place will rock your world. Hash Hash a Go Go, located inside the LINQ Resort & Casino, is known for it’s twisted farm food. I would recommend the Griddled French Toast (pictured below with the hubby). The food is a little on the pricey side, but the portions are huge!

5. This city is worth seeing at night.

From Fremont Street light show to the Vegas strip itself, this city is something you have to experience at night. I recommend going on the LINQ High Roller at night (the view is pictured below). Not only is it the world’s largest observation wheel, it’s conveniently located right in the heart of the strip.

If you’re looking for a fun weekend with friends, this is the place to be. There is so much to see and do during the day, but I suggest relaxing by the pool and resort spa during the day and saving all your energy for the nightlife. You’ll be glad you did.
